As promised here is the second half of Lalaloopsy Minis Series 16, the Cheerful Collection. While not as cohesive as the Fruit Collection (aka not cohesive at all) it still has tons to offer to the Lalaloopsy connoisseur. Without further ado:
#5 Whistle Kick ‘N’ Score
Sewn On: June 13th 2016
Sewn From: a Jersey
Whistle Kick ‘N’ Score was made from a jersey. She’s a high-kicking team player who always gives her best – even though grass makes her sneeze! She makes sure everyone has fun on the field, not matter who wins.
I have no interest in any sports aside from roller derby and badminton, but if liked soccer this Mini would be a must-have. Her companion seems to have been replaced with a generic ball (why is it not a soccer ball?) and her accessory is an un-hold-able flag. Despite this the Mini herself is quite cute, though I won’t be picking her up for my collection.
#6 Fluffy Pouncy Paws
Sewn On: June 4th 2016
Sewn From: a kitten’s collar
Fluffy Pouncy Paws was made from a kitten’s collar. She’s a devoted birdwatcher and loves a good tuna sandwich, playing tag, and taking cat naps!
Of this series, Fluffy Pouncy Paws is the only one I already own. I found her in a local Target a few days ago and the paint on her hair is a little thin since it’s orange painted over purple. Her basket of yarn is a palette swap of Boo Scardey Cat’s and instead of a companion animal (cat or mouse would have been cute) she has a carton of milk. The Mini herself is adorable; I especially like the cat collar detail and the knitted cat-eared cap.
#7 Mona Arch Wings
Sewn On: August 23rd 2016
Sewn From: a butterfly costume
Mona Arch Wings was sewn from a butterfly costume. She is a real social butterfly who doesn’t always have time to stop and smell the roses. When she’s on the go, she makes sure to stay hydrated with her favorite drink: Lilac nectar juice.
Mona Arch Wings has to be my absolute favorite in this collection. I ordered her through Amazon since my local stores Lalaloopsy sections can only be accurately described as sad. The black and orange color scheme looks perfect with the pink hair, and the caterpillar is an excellent companion choice. Plus I’m always a sucker for a Lalaloopsy with wings.
#8 Allegra Leaps ‘N’ Bounds
Sewn On: February 7th 2016
Sewn From: Ballet Slipper
Allegra Leaps ‘N’ Bounds was once a rag doll who magically came to life when her very last stitch was sewn. She’s a marvelous dancer who never makes mistakes…that she admits to. She loves chocolates, taking a bow, and twirling until she’s really dizzy!
Personally I’m up in the air on Allegra Leaps ‘N’ Bounds. I like her, but I don’t love her. The squirrel companion is working for me just because I love squirrels so much, but overall I feel that she is sweet, but generic. The ballet slippers are adorable, but I’m expecting some massive paint issues with them since they’re so delicate. I may wait until I see this one in person before deciding whether or not to buy.
There you have it, Lalaloopsy Series 16, the Cheerful Collection! I would love to see a whole butterfly collection or a pet collection. Which ones are you planning on picking up?
